The social cooperative Seriarte Ecologica was established in 1988 in Rome, in the jail of Rebibbia, with the aim of solving a fundamental problem: the return of former prisoners to free life and their difficulties finding an occupation.

The activities are carried out in various prisons in Italy, such as Casal del Marmo and Rebibbia in Rome or Villa Andreina in La Spezia. Here, various training courses are organized, amongst which there is that on serigraphy. In the laboratory, the prisoners have the opportunity to express themselves by printing slogans and images on T-shirts and other items of clothing bearing the “Made in Jail” brand.
