Spett.le agenzia,
premesso che:
1. abbiamo sottoscritto il contratto con voi per l'esibizione di Beenieman al rototom sunsplash di Osoppo (udine - italia) solo dopo vostre precise rassicurazioni circa un ravvedimento dell'artista nei confronti di sue passate esibizioni e produzioni discografiche esplicitamente omofobiche ed inneggianti alla violenza e alla sopraffazione nei confronti dei gay;
2. ci avete fatto pervenire un documento di scuse in cui Beenieman, oltre a chiedere scusa per quanto declamato in passato, si impegna a cambiare atteggiamento e condotta ("I renounce violence towards other human beings in every way, and pledge henceforth to uphold these values as I move forward in my career as an artist");
tutto ciò premesso,
siamo oggi a chiedervi urgenti e precise spiegazioni sul fatto che in
Giamaica, in più di un'occasione, lo stesso Beenieman ha continuato a
proporre i brani contenenti messaggi omofobici con la sola accortezza di far cantare il pubblico al posto suo nei passaggi in cui il messaggio è
maggiormente esplicito.
Ci risulta inoltre circolare un nuovo suo brano, dal titolo "no apology", in cui sembra smentire quanto ufficialmente rinnegato nella suddetta apology.
Non disponibili a farci prendere in giro, chiediamo di avere una risposta, la più precisa e circostanziata possibile, su questi ambigui episodi, al fine di evitare l'annullamento di ogni impegno preso nei vostri confronti riguardo l'esibizione di Beenieman al rototom sunsplash.

Riservandoci il diritto di non credere a eventuali spiegazioni generiche ed ipocrite, crediamo sia opportuno avere dall'artista stesso un'ulteriore dichiarazione che, oltre a spiegare il perchè dei comportamenti sopra descritti, dichiari senza ulteriori equivoci, che al rototom sunsplash non effettuerà per nessun motivo alcun brano che contenga nel suo testo espliciti inviti all'odio e alla violenza, nè verso i gay, nè verso nessun altro essere umano.

Prima di tutto un sincero ringraziamento per aver portato questo fatto alla nostra attenzione. Sappiate che Celebrity talent non condona questo comportamento in alcuna maniera, e, alla luce di questa informazione abbiamo deciso di cancellare l'intero tour su queste terre. Siamo stupefatti da questo comportamento e non vogliamo più alcun legame con questo artista o altri artisti che si comportino in tale maniera. Sappiate che l'informazione ci era stata data dal management in rispetto della sue recente "apologia", e vi è stata mandata in buona fede, essendo noi inconsapevoli di questi ultimi accadimenti.
E' bastata una semplice telefonata per avere la conferma della pubblicazione di questa canzone intitolata "no apology" e per giungere alla nostra decisione.

Our Letter
We are writing to you to ask for further clarification of the views of the artist known as “Beenieman� in consideration of the homosexual community.
We undersigned the contract with you for the performance of Beenieman at the Rototom Sunsplash Festival in Osoppo (Udine, Italy), in July this year, only after your precise assurances of the artist’s repentance of his past explicitly homophobic performances and recording production, and of   extolling these aspects and of violence towards gay people.
You sent us a document in which Beenieman, besides apologising for what he had affirmed in the past, also undertook to change his behaviour and conduct: quote, “ I renounce violence towards other human beings in every way, and pledge henceforth to uphold these values as I move forward in my career as an artist�.
Considering the above cited points, we now feel the absolute need for clarification of circumstances that have come to our notice.  
Recently, in Jamaica, Beenieman has continued to present those tracks containing homophobic lyrics in various occasions, with the variant of not singing personally during the most explicit passages but having the audience sing the words.
Furthermore, it seems that a new track has been put into circulation entitled “No Apologyâ€?, in which it seems the artist repudiates what he has declared in the official apology sent to us.  
We are not willing to allow ourselves, or the Festival and its philosophy, to be treated in such a fashion, and we therefore ask to have a precise and detailed explanation of these ambiguous circumstances, so as to avoid the cancellation of the agreements undertaken for the performance of Beenieman at the Rototom Sunsplash Festival.
We reserve the right to consider insincere any generalised or hypocritical explanation; in addition, we believe it to be necessary to receive from the artist himself, a declaration that explains the above behaviour, and unequivocally states that, at the Rototom Sunsplash Festival, he will not perform any song, or make any reference to material, which contains explicit instigations to hate-filled actions or violence, either towards gay people or any other human being.

Firstly thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. Please be aware that Celebrity Talent in no way condones this behaviour and in light of this information have decided to drop the entire tour on these grounds. We are appalled by this behaviour and want no further ties with this artist or any other artist that conducts himself or herself in this way. Please be aware that the information we were given by the management in respect of his recent 'apology' was sent onto you in good faith and we  were totally unaware of these recent occurrences. Having just made a phone call it has been confirmed that the song you mentioned 'No Apology' has indeed been released and as such, we have come to this decision.
