I express my full solidarity to the festival and its director for the injustice to which they are subjected.

The forces backing the current Italian government express, with very few exceptions, a liberticide, reactionary culture that aims at repressing and compressing all areas for independent, alternative thought, under banner of equality, openness and multiculture.
The reactionary ideology that animates the centre-right wing believes in spreading fear and homologating to a given model of social order and control: this is achieved by enclosing the minds of the people within the narrow boundaries of a TV ghetto, feeding the individuals and their families with the same homogenized, distorted, syrupy propaganda of a single model of existence.

The subculture that animates the ultraconservatives kills the joye de vivre of the freer souls: the vital and creative energy of the young are frowned upon, particularly when they cluster together as in the case of events such as Rototom Sunspash, a festival promoting culture, sociality, vital energy, the beauty and resonance with the universal language and meta-language of music, peace and brotherhood. The instrument of repression used in this case is just one of the many laws allowing the police to practice control with the pretext of the so-called war on drugs, which aims at suffocating all that is not in line with the beliefs of those in power. A political class whose members often use stupefactives such as cocaine, which circulates freely in the palaces of power hand in hand with prostitution and its many facets.
