Dear friends of Rototom Sunsplash,

First of all I wish to express the hope that all is not over and that Rototom Sunsplash can remain in Friuli, where for many years it has contributed to enrich the cultural and touristic appeal of our Region.

I believe that wisdom should drive us all to preserve an event that takes place under banner of peace, contributes extensively to the economy and is hosted with joy by the local citizens and administration.

I am convinced that if there are problems, we should strive to solve them, and not merely sweep everything away.

Should Rototom leave the region, not only will we have failed to solve a problem, but we will have created many others and have handed out a successful event to another region, if not another country.

I therefore embrace the initiative of all the regional councilors who have appealed to the President of the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia and I join all those who have felt the need to express solidarity to the organizers of the festival.
