The Lion Stage comes back with new energy, a new orbital stage and the same philosophy of promoting groups and artists from around the world, acclaimed and up and coming. Besides, this year, we’ll also count with some ska bands so they can receive the public attention they deserve.
After the Main Stage acts you can enjoy red hot nights in the Dancehall Tent. The programme features international stars who play a variety of music styles, from bashment to roots and dub.The shows in the dancehall last until dawn: the flames of lighters in the air, whistles and blasts, and the latest dance steps… it’s just like being in Jamaica.

Once again, Sunsplash 2011 will host the Dub Station sound-system area, dedicated to roots and dub. Just as last year, Caravelle-prod, Musical Riot and Reggaeshack will be in charge of organising the roots corner of the festival.

This year too we will present in collaboration with Liquidator Music (Madrid - Spain) the Ska Club, the stage dedicated to the origins of the jamiacan music and to the ska, rocksteady, bluebeat and early reggae. The bands playing these styles of music will act on the Lion Stage, while at the Ska Club will perform singers and selecters: this area will be going on since when the Main Stage concerts and until morning.

One more year, the traditional Free Yard is open to all singjays, sounds and selectors who being already at the festival wish to present their own music. This area houses all kind of styles that share the philosophy of the festival, all varieties of reggae.
In order to participate, you just need to contact the collective in charge of programming, the historic Anti Coi Guanti & Rocciaman together with Mas Jahma Sound..
