“Economic Crisis, perspectives on the end of the European social model.” In the last two years the collapse of the global financial system has triggered one of the deepest economical crisis's ever seen, all over the world millions of people have been thrown into despair, through mass-unemployment and a worrying increase in inequality. The global crash, however, also has a different meaning to Europe which will no doubt have an epochal effect: the end of the European social model. Therefore, the final dismantling of the continent's welfare state as it is incompatible with the competition of the rest of the world. But is the world in which we live the only world possible? Enric Duran, Arcadi Oliveres, Santi Cirugeda and Isidro Lopez are some of the protagonists who will be part of the debate on overcoming dominant capitalism. |

From the systematic occupation of public spaces with tenants, to the construction of prothesis in facdes, patios, covers and even in solar. All in negotiation between legality and illegality, to recall the enormous control we are submitted to.” |

“Italy's case, and the effect of Berlusconi on Europe” Rototom Sunsplash was born and has grown in Italy, but it is had to leave in exile due to the ever increasing repressive, suffocating and closed-minded climate. What is happening to the “Belpaese” (Beautiful city)? Why are the spaces once dedicated to freedom now becoming more restricted, in a civil society that appears apathetic, and without a voice? In the remainder of Europe the Italian crisis is observed apprehensively, with the vertical fall of constitutional and democratic value's. Above all the fear that Berlusconi's way will spread into the rest of the continent. We will confront this delicate subject with some exceptional hosts: Beppe Grillo, Giuliano Giuliani, Andrea De Lotto from “Lo Sbarco”. Conducted by Tommaso Cerno |

Giuliano, who has been one of Rototom's closest friends for many years, is at the front of the “Comitato Piazza Carlo Giuliano” a collective that since then has sought to reconstruct the facts of that fateful day, and those events in the Piazza Alimonda, where Carlo was murdered, whilst keeping the memory of those days alive. |
