African Village

african-village-rototom

As in past editions of the Rototom Sunsplash, we dedicate a special area to Africa and its culture. This year we will have a completely renovated area with more workshops, courses, performances: consisting of one space as info point and display of different cooperation projects, another one for workshops and other for shows. All of these with handmade hut-like structures with the intention to recreate an African village as much as possible, also surrounded by shops and African restaurants.

The Thioune Brothers (African artists living in the Canary Islands who already worked with us last year) together with Time for Africa (Italian NGO we have worked with for some time now) will be our collaborators for this year. Always with the intention of bringing this ancient culture closer to us and at the same time offering the possibility to learn all together.
