Lion Stage: High Tone

high-tone-homeThe High Tone band was formed in Lyon in 1997 representing the avant-garde of French dub. Learning from the traditional sounds of King Tubby and Lee Perry, High Tone have mixed up their sound with drum' n' bass, chill-out, trance and hip-hop. With their four album releases and numerous colaborations, this group has a unique sound which they deliver via their live band consisting of traditional drums, bass, guitar, keyboards and some help from a DJ.

The five Lyons' are becoming a true underground phenomenon especially in their home country, this is their debut at Rototom Sunsplash and they are confirmed guests on the Lion stage.
