LION STAGE Dactah Chando is a reggae and dancehall vocalist from Tenerife who pretends to defend his own discourse, linked in his Guanche origins and attached to an austere lifestyle as a surfer. All of this, without considering himself as a preacher nor  identifying with any particular style (reggae roots, dancehall, drum´n´bass), transcending the barrier that separates the “underground” from the “mainstream”.

Although the release of his first album “Clara” (2011) has been produced this year, his career is wide and proven, being part of several sound systems and bands from the Canary Islands and having even registered songs under multiple riddims for a decade. His album, recorded in Cologne (Germany) with the musician and producer Guido Craveiro (Frank Dellé, Zoe, Bootsy Collins, Moloko…) and edited by Achinech Productions, represents the consolidation of his sound and means a firm step in his career.
