DUB STATION The time to burn with its roots the Rototom Sunsplash massive has come, for the sound of the roaring lion: Channel One emerged in 1979 even if the brothers Mikey Dread and Jah T had already been playing for six years with the sound of the father. The name of this sound comes from the love of the two brothers for the hononymous name of the Jamaican label.
In 1983 Channel One plays for the first time at the Notting Hill Jamaican Carnival: 28 years laterm, this legend of roots reggae still is one of the main entertainers of this genre as for the Caribbean culture lovers. After the last tours in Australia and New Zealand we can say all the five continents have had the chance to appreciate the terrific selection of rarities and dubplates of this crucial sound.
