Gentleman is the first European artist to have become an international reggae star. His talent and his ability to express himself perfectly in patois in his songs led the artist, from Cologne, to quickly gain the rispect and the praise of the whole Jamaican reggae scene. Many big artists of the land of reggae collaborated with him in his CDs.

After a very promising beginning, "Confidence" (2004) is the first masterpiece that hits the top of the German pop charts. After a little slowdown, he triumphs again in his country in 2010 with "Diversity", double CD where Gentleman's roots reggae gets mixed with hip hop. The German artist comes back to Rototom Sunsplash this year, for the fourth time taking the place of Richie Spice as he will not be attending the festival anymore.
