Born in 1983, Gyptian is the example that a Jamaica's inspiration to USA's black music and genres like R&B or Hip Hop, comes out with very original results. Singer with a refined style Gyptian made his first hits in 2005, "Serious times" and "Is there a place" on the calm rythms of "one drop" on the mainstream that time.
His second album "I can feel your pain" already includes many ballads inspired to soul, of which lyrics talk about the precarious life in the ghetto. In 2010 he showed a big prolificity with his 2 CDs "Revelation" and "Hold you":
this last includes the hononymous track which reaching the first place in various charts and being at the top in the chart of the most downloaded reggae tracks for nine weeks, is his best hit ever.
