The debate on Sunday afternoon on the future of the 15M at the SocialForum at the Rototom was one of the crowdest. A very participativeaudience, which questioned the speakers and lived with specialintensity the whole debate. The spokesman of Democracia Real Ya inMadrid, Carlos Paredes, the representative of Acampada Sol, LolaMatamala, and the one of Acampada Catalunya, Enric Duran, expect thatthe new flow of reivindications that the 15M is aglutinating, willfinally really change things in front of a politic class thatcritiziced the movement hardly giving a variety of arguments.
When asked about how the movement will confront the next generalelections in Spain summoned for november 20, the three of them talkedabout “opportunity“ to be heard, and according to Paredes, to “put onevidence the candidates, make them tremble, especially the ones fromthe two majority parties that alternate in the power, PP and PSOE”.Duran, proposed to take advantage of the call to open a parallelpopular referendum in which the proposals debated in the assembliesall over the country could be voted. In fact, Enric Duran concluded the debate calling all the peoplepresent to an assembly of the 15M that will be held today, Monday 22august at 21.00h at the Social Forum of the Rototom. The alsorepresentative of the Cooperativa Integral Catalana proposed that itcould be iniciated with a musical approach, but it will be opened toall reflexions. According to Duran, the convocatory emerges from thelocal representatives of the movement in Benicàssim.
