Tree planting in the festival area

On Thursday, March 17th, work began on a project to plant 220 mulberry trees in the festival area of Benicassim. We are planting 3 to 4 year-old trees every 6 meters, covering almost one hectare of the camping area. These trees will provide plenty of shaded spaces during the next edition of the festival.

One hectare of wood with 300 middle-sized trees absorbs 5 tons of CO2 in one year, according to the Master of Energetic Efficiency and Environmental Sustainability in Industrial Installations and Construction, at the University Jaume I of Castelló. We plan to reach this objective in one year!
